 The Tutorial Assistant will work alongside business and management academic staff to provide learning support, facilitate tutorials, and assist with assessment-related tasks. This role is essential in fostering an engaging and effective learning environment for students pursuing advanced studies in management. 

 The Tutorial Assistant will:

  • Facilitate tutorial sessions to support student learning and engagement.
  • Assist in the preparation, delivery, and organisation of course materials.
  • Provide academic guidance and support to students, both in group settings and individually.
  • Assist with marking and providing feedback on assessments under the guidance of lecturers.
  • Maintain accurate records of student participation and academic progress.
  • Support the use of learning management systems and digital tools for course delivery.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of course delivery through feedback and collaboration with academic staff.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A postgraduate qualification in business, management, or a related field (Master’s level or higher preferred).
  • Ideally, research-active with an interest in contributing to academic scholarship.
  • Experience in a teaching, tutoring, or academic support role, preferably in higher education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students and academic staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems (e.g., Moodle).
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting student success.
