Regional Finance Director Rohe Rua

Fixed term, full time

Due to internal movements and organsational change an opportunity has arisen for Regional Finance Director Rohe Rua. Working as part of the regional leadership team, the regional finance director will support regional and local leaders to make sound financial decisions and ensure national consistency of process and approach. Thus ensuring we contribute to the overall goals and objectives of Rohe Rua | Te Pūkenga.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $188,000 - $235,000pa (Fixed Remuneration excluding KiwiSaver), dependent on skills and experience.

The Regional Finance Director can be based in either of the business divisions within Rohe Rua reporting to the Executive Director Rohe Rua and will be responsible for: 

· Partnering with regional leadership teams, providing expert insights, advice, support, and financial leadership. Enabling regional delivery and develop effective forecasting and budgeting capability, including publication of forecasts and budgets.

· Operationalising finance strategy in the region, to support the achievement of organisation outcomes. Managing relationships with key stakeholders, providing insight and advice on fit with Te Pūkenga strategic intent and operations.

· Supporting commercial negotiations with specialist providers and partner with leaders to drive revenue and operations opportunities. Manage cost containment / revenue growth and growth projections.

· Drive alignment of financial practices, processes and policies with those of other strategic partners. Provide values-based leadership to the regional finance team ensuring their wellbeing, productivity, performance, growth and development.

To be successful in this role you will have:

· Strong strategic capability and change management practice, excellent communication skills and proven ability in developing relationships across a business and the ability to influence at senior levels and a diverse range of stakeholders.

· Experience as a member of senior leadership in a medium to larger organisation

· Significant experience in finance disciplines and teams at a senior leadership level, and within the vocational education sector as well as an understanding of RoVE.
