Working in a management role as an integral part of the Toi Ohomai Marketing & Communications Team, you’ll play a key role in developing credible, engaging marketing and creative strategies.

You’ll be a proven leader, able to see the big picture and clearly articulate vision and direction for your team. Full of innovative ideas, you’re a big thinker, always willing and ready to slip on multiple hats and relish the challenges this broad role will bring.

This role demands that you’ll be proactive, process driven and have a great energy in a fast-paced environment. You will thrive on implementing new initiatives, campaigns and promotions. You’ll have a solid understanding of advertising channels and media placement and you know how to target the right people with the right message. You’ll know how to drive a high-performing team and  love to share your expertise with your team.

Your responsibilities will include leading and managing the operations of the marketing and creative (graphic design) team, and providing coaching and guidance on marketing best practice to your direct reports. You’ll be implementing the Toi Ohomai Communications & Marketing Strategy and working collaboratively to create and implement marketing, content and communications plans.

The position involves working across our main campuses in Rotorua and Tauranga. The successful candidate can select which campus they wish to base themselves from. You’ll enjoy a close knit team atmosphere, plenty of opportunities to try new things and help drive a plethora of new and engaging initiatives, both internally and externally.

The skills, experience and qualifications required for this role include:

  • Two – five years’ plus experience as a senior manager involved in multi-channel campaigns
  • A track record of demonstrated success in branding, recruitment, marketing and communications
  • Significant experience with brand marketing, digital / integrated strategy, advertising and campaign development
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, public relations or similar field.
