Graduate Aquatic and Fitness Instructor
Full Time, Fixed Term (1.0 FTE) December 2024 – January 2026
Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology – Te Pare a Ruahine, Windermere Campus
We have a great opportunity for an energetic Sport and Fitness graduate to join our Te Pare a Ruahine team as a Graduate Aquatic and Fitness Instructor for a one year fixed term. The key responsibilities of this position includes:
- Lifeguarding
- Taking group fitness classes
- Customer service
- Opening and closing the facility
- Taking assessments and programmes
The right candidate must be a graduate of a Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology Limited Certificate in Fitness, Diploma or Degree in Sport and Recreation or Diploma in Massage from 2024. This can have been obtained from any campus but the job is based at Windermere in Tauranga.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake training to gain their National Pool Lifeguard Award and First Aid Certificate if these are not already held. Excellent customer service and communication skills, reliability and punctuality are essential for this role.
