Join our team as a Finance Systems Accountant and become the go-to expert for financial systems and data. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the development, support, and optimisation of our Financial and Management Information System (FMIS), ensuring seamless integration with other systems across the Institute. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders, provide expert advice and training, and drive innovation in financial systems to support strategic decision-making.
Ngā mahi | Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain FMIS systems including user setup, ledger structures, budget packs, and ensuring system stability and security.
• Provide expert support and training to internal and external users on FMIS and its interfaces with other Institute systems.
• Lead FMIS upgrades and liaise with TechnologyOne, including testing plans, user testing, and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain financial reports and support audit processes by extracting and interpreting FMIS data.
• Drive system improvements and innovation, partnering with Finance to identify enhancements and contribute to business cases and project teams.

You bring:
• Minimum Degree level qualification in Finance, Business, or IT or the equivalent body of knowledge gained through experience.
• Proven experience with financial systems and their implementation, including proficiency in a range of computer applications, including TechnologyOne Finance System.
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions and manage tasks under pressure.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to train users and collaborate effectively across teams.
• High standards of integrity and customer service, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation.
