Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

This position for an Academic Staff Member within the Agriculture Team involves Teaching on a variety of Agriculture programmes ranging from L1 STP programmes up to L4 Industry based programmes. The role is based at our Mokoia campus but will involve travel to teach across our Rohe. 

The appointing salary for this role will be between $76,000 and $86,000, dependent on skills and experience.

The Agriculture Team is based in our Toi Ohomai | Te Pūkenga Mokoia reporting to the Academic Leader.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A good network of contacts in the agriculture industry or the ability to develop and grow a network of contacts.
  • Minimum of a L4 certificate in Agriculture or similar qualification and or
  • At least 8 years’ work experience in a relevant field 
  • Excellent hands on practical skills, animal handling, vehicles, small machinery, plant and infrastructure skills are crucial.  
  • Above average digital and computer skills, familiarity with the google suite of tools would be an advantage
  • Importantly you will be able to demonstrate strong alignment and commitment to our Toi Ohomai Values.
