Remuneration: $65,286 - $87,211 (Fixed remuneration excluding Kiwisaver)

We have one full time. fixed term position available for an Academic Staff Member (Baking) within the Tourism and Hospitality team in the Academic Delivery and Development Directorate. The role involves teaching on New Zealand Certificate in Baking (level 4) Within this role you will contribute to developing future industry leaders through teaching in the baking kitchen, classroom and online; researching; creating, reviewing, and updating resources and teaching materials; assessing ākonga (student) work; assisting with the recruitment and care of ākonga (student); and actively participating in the team and institution environment.
Ngā mahi | Key Responsibilities
• Delivery of New Zealand Certificate in Baking (Level 4) Programme
• Providing Leadership in ākonga (student) management
• Develop and deliver effective partnerships with key stakeholders
• Use a learner-centred approach to facilitate the learning of diverse ākonga (students)
• Developing, planning and implementing ākonga (student) assessment, courses and resource material
• Monitoring ākonga (student) progress and results and providing timely and accurate advise and support as required
He kōrero mōu | About You
You bring:
• A trade qualification in Baking/Patisserie (level 5)
• Five years of experience in the Baking Industry
• Skills and/or qualifications in adult teaching (highly advantageous)
• Importantly you will be able to demonstrate strong alignment and commitment to our Toi Ohomai values
