ASM Fixed Term Education
Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role
Part-time, fixed-term position:
- 18 February 2027 to 25 November 2027
- Hours: Semester 1, 2027 0.6 FTE, Semester 2 it will drop to 0.3 FTE
The role is for an Academic Staff Member (ASM) to provide quality Early Childhood Education across agreed courses with the Education Faculty.
The Academic Staff Member will be:
- Providing leadership in student management
- Developing, planning and implementing student assessment, courses and resource material
- Monitoring student progress and results and providing timely and accurate advice and support as required

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or Early Childhood Education
- Masters Degree in Education or relevant field
- Current New Zealand teacher registration and practising certificate
- At least four years' experience in Early Childhood Education or a closely related educational setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
